How to compare clinics without relying on hype
1. Start with the clinician
Identify the clinician who will actually evaluate you, not only the medical director shown in marketing. Confirm an active professional license in the state where you receive care, and verify any board certification, specialty credential or advanced training the clinician publicly claims. Also ask who remains responsible for follow-up after intake.
2. Understand the care model
Ask whether the clinic provides primary care, a concierge membership, a one-time assessment, telehealth treatment, elective wellness services, or some combination. Similar branding can hide very different levels of medical continuity.
3. Ask what changes because of a test
A long biomarker list is not automatically useful. For each major test, ask what clinical question it answers, who interprets it, and what the clinic would do differently if the result were normal or abnormal.
4. Price the whole first year
Separate intake fees, membership, labs, imaging, medication, supplements, procedures and follow-up. A low entry price can be misleading when most of the care sits outside that number.
